This is accomplished through the addition of mycorrhizae, a beneficial fungus that forms a symbiotic relationship with the plant’s roots. Mycorrhizae aid in plant establishment and survival during transplant. It is these beneficial microorganisms that expand and increase root development. This leads to better root development overall, which may aid in resistance to transplant shock leading to an increase in plant survival.

Think of all these wonderful microbes as probiotics for your soil.  All these wonderful probiotics may also aid in the plant’s defenses against harmful or unwanted pathogens. Even the bat guano is high in microbial activity that adds to the mix of probiotics in the fertilizer. APPLICATION:

• Apply one pound per 10-20 square feet of garden area at the time of planting and again halfway through the season. For transplanting 1, 3 and 5 gallon plants, add 1 cup to the bottom of the planting hole.
• For trees, apply one pound per inch of the fruit tree trunk diameter, once in the spring, once in the fall.
• For roses and flowering shrubs, apply once every 2-3 months at a rate of 1/2 cup per 1-2ft of plant height.
• Note: Roughly 2 cups = 1 pound
